RoyalWallet has two kinds of accounts. You rarely need to create either of them yourself.

My account

My account is your own RoyalWallet account. It is created for you automatically the first time you open the app, on your device.

  • Open My account and choose Show recovery code. Write the 12 words on paper and choose a PIN. Without them nobody, not even us, can restore the account if you lose your phone.
  • Top-ups by card are being introduced gradually. When they are available to you, the Top up button is active.
  • Sending money, a card and payments to IBAN are coming soon.

Tracked accounts: from your statements

Your accounts at other banks get into RoyalWallet through Import statement (under Budgeting). Download a statement in your internet banking, drop it in and confirm.

  • The first import creates the account by itself: name, bank, currency and balance.
  • Every next statement from the same account is added to it. Payments already imported are skipped.
  • Everything appears under Settings → Tracked accounts, together with your net worth.

See Importing statements and Downloading a statement.

When to add an account by hand

Only for things without a statement: cash, a loan from family, a car or other property. On Tracked accounts, open Add an account by hand.
